上海科学技术职业学院创建于1959年，是一所经上海市人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制高等职业院校。学校地处上海市“五大新城”、有“国际汽车城”之称的嘉定城区，是上海市“花园单位”“上海市文明单位”“上海市安全文明校园”“上海市绿色学校”。2016年以“优秀”等第通过上海市特色高等职业院校验收，同时也是上海市首批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校、全国深化创新创业教育改革特色典型经验高校。2021年成功入选上海市高水平高职学校和高水平高职专业群——“双高”建设单位。2022年被吸纳为中国产学研合作促进会常务理事单位。社会行业影响力显著提升。
学校秉持“科技引领，工科立校”的办学定位，实施“特色立校，人才强校，开放办学，创新驱动”的发展战略，专业设置紧扣上海经济社会需求，布局战略性新兴产业与先进制造业、民生和现代服务业，形成了以工科专业群为主体，商贸、人文艺术专业群为两翼的专业布局。学校设有25个专业，其中5个上海市重点专业、3个上海市一流专业（群）。目前已拥有18门上海市精品课程，10项上海市教学成果奖，多项市教育科研成果奖及教学名师和教学创新团队。
学校以“立德博雅，尚实知行”为校训，60多年来为我国的培养了大批高层次技术骨干和行业高级管理人才。目前全日制在校生6500余人，教职工总人数310人。学校培养的学生一直受到用人单位的广泛欢迎，毕业生就业率连续多年保持98%以上。
近年来，学校致力于建设特色鲜明的应用技术技能型高等院校，牵手世界级头部企业，高水平践行“产教融合、校企合作”。中德先进职业教育合作项目、法国施耐德电气绿色低碳产教融合项目、德国Priminer（上海）技术中心等相继在科院校园落地，腾讯云人工智能产业学院、百度Apollo智能网联汽车产业学院项目已全面启动；聚焦上海“五个中心”“四大品牌”建设需求，开展“五双”人才培养模式为核心的现代学徒制具体实践，努力打造中国特色现代学徒制的上海样板；紧扣上海战略性新兴产业和先导产业发展体系，重点发展人工智能、智能制造技术、物联网技术、新能源汽车、第六代移动通信技术等专业与专业群，与上海产业需求相适应，形成国内领先优势；作为唯一上海市高职院校，成功入选世界职业技术教育发展联盟首批成员单位，入选中国产学研合作促进会常务理事单位、工信部首批“产教融合专业合作建设试点单位”，并荣获“2022年中国产学研合作促进奖”，上海科学技术职业学院正在迈入高质量发展的快车道。
Shanghai Science and Technology Vocational College was founded in 1959 and is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. The school is located in the Jiading urban area of Shanghai, known as the Five New Cities and the International Automobile City. It is a garden unit, civilized unit, safe and civilized campus, and green school in Shanghai. In 2016, it passed the acceptance of Shanghai's characteristic higher vocational colleges with the rank of Excellent, and is also one of the first batch of demonstration universities in Shanghai to deepen innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, as well as a typical experience university in deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform nationwide. In 2021, it was successfully selected as a Double High construction unit for high-level vocational schools and professional groups in Shanghai. In 2022, he was admitted as an executive director unit of the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation. The school adheres to the educational positioning of technology leading, engineering oriented and implements the development strategy of characteristic oriented, talent oriented, open education, and innovation driven. The professional setting is closely aligned with the economic and social needs of Shanghai, and the strategic emerging industries, advanced manufacturing, people's livelihood, and modern service industries are laid out, forming a professional layout with engineering majors as the main body and trade, humanities and arts majors as the two wings. The school has 25 majors, including 5 Shanghai key majors and 3 Shanghai first-class majors (groups). At present, we have 18 high-quality courses in Shanghai, 10 Shanghai Teaching Achievement Awards, multiple Municipal Education and Research Achievement Awards, as well as renowned teachers and teaching innovation teams.
The school adheres to the motto of being virtuous, refined, and practical, and has cultivated a large number of high-level technical backbone and industry senior management talents for China over the past 60 years. At present, there are over 6500 full-time students and a total of 310 faculty members. The students trained by the school have been widely welcomed by employers, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 98% for many consecutive years.
In recent years, the school has been committed to building distinctive application technology and skill oriented higher education institutions, holding hands with world-class leading enterprises, and high-level practice of industry education integration and school enterprise cooperation. The Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Project, the French Schneider Electric Green and Low Carbon Industry Education Integration Project, and the German Primer (Shanghai) Technology Center have successively landed on the campus of the Academy of Sciences. The Tencent Cloud Artificial Intelligence Industry College and Baidu Apollo Intelligent Connected Automotive Industry College projects have been fully launched; Focusing on the construction needs of Shanghai's Five Centers and Four Major Brands, we will carry out specific practices of modern apprenticeship with the Five Double talent training model as the core, and strive to create a model of modern apprenticeship with Chinese characteristics in Shanghai; Adhering to the development system of Shanghai's strategic emerging industries and leading industries, we will focus on developing professional and professional groups such as artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing technology, Internet of Things technology, new energy vehicles, and sixth generation mobile communication technology to meet the needs of Shanghai's industries and form a leading advantage in China. As the only vocational college in Shanghai, it has been successfully selected as one of the first member units of the World Alliance for the Development of Vocational and Technical Education, an executive director unit of the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation, and one of the first batch of Pilot Units for the Construction of Industry Education Integration Professional Cooperation by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has also won the 2022 China Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Award, and is entering a fast lane of high-quality development.
