上海科学技术职业学院创建于1959年，是一所经上海市人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制高等职业院校。学校地处上海市”五大新城”、有”国际汽车城”之称的嘉定城区，2012年入选”上海市特色高等职业院校”建设单位，2021年、2024年连续入选”上海市高水平高职学校和高水平高职专业群”建设单位，是教育部”具有较高国际化水平的职业学校”建设单位、教育部”职业教育信息化标杆学校”建设单位、全国深化创新创业教育改革特色典型经验高校、上海市教育信息化应用标杆培育校、上海市首批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校，连续多年获上海市”文明单位”“安全文明校园”“绿色学校”“花园单位”，在 2025年上海高校分类评价排名中获评A档，跻身第一方阵，社会影响力显著提升。
学校秉持”科技引领，工科立校”的办学定位，实施”特色立校，人才强校，开放办学，创新驱动”的发展战略，专业设置紧扣上海经济社会需求，布局战略性新兴产业与先进制造业、民生和现代服务业，形成了以工科专业群为主体，商贸、艺术专业群为两翼的专业布局。学校设有25个专业，其中4个上海市高水平专业群、5个上海市重点专业、4个省部级产教融合型专业。目前已拥有1门国家级精品在线课程、27门上海市精品（在线开放）课程、10项上海市教学成果奖及多项市教育科研成果奖，有教育部新时代名匠工作室1个、上海市职教名师工作室1个，上海市技能大师工作室2个、上海市”东方英才”2人及多名教学名师和教学创新团队。
学校以”立德博雅，尚实知行”为校训，60多年来为社会培养具有全球视野、人文情怀、实践能力并能应对未来挑战的高素质技术技能人才。目前全日制在校生8000余人，学校培养的学生一直受到用人单位的广泛欢迎，毕业生就业率连续多年保持98%以上。
近年来，学校致力于建设特色鲜明的应用技术技能型高等院校，牵手世界级头部企业，高水平践行”产教融合、校企合作”。入选教育部法国施耐德电气绿色低碳产教融合项目、中德先进职业教育合作项目及德国博世应用型和技术技能型人才培养合作试点项目，落地腾讯云人工智能产业学院、百度Apollo智能网联汽车产业学院、现代服务产业学院、德国普锐米勒数控技术产教融合实践中心、蔚来新能源汽车产教融合实践中心、中信通工创中心产教融合数字智造技术中心、上海国际汽车城产教联合体等一批重大项目；聚焦上海”五个中心”“四大品牌”建设需求，开展”五双”人才培养模式为核心的现代学徒制具体实践，努力打造中国特色现代学徒制的上海样板；紧扣上海战略性新兴产业和先导产业发展体系，重点发展人工智能、智能制造技术、物联网技术、新能源汽车、第六代移动通信技术等专业与专业群，与区域重点领域产业布局发展精准对接，形成国内领先优势；发挥教育部”具有较高国际化水平的职业学校”建设单位资源优势，成立”一带一路” 技术技能培训中心、马尔代夫”中文+职业技能”海外培训中心、吉隆坡海外学院等，打造职教出海”金名片”。2022年，荣获”中国产学研合作促进奖”，上海科学技术职业学院正在迈入高质量发展的快车道。
Founded in 1959, Shanghai College of Science and Technology (SCST) is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of China. Located in Jiading District, one of Shanghai’s “Five New Cities” and renowned as the “International Auto City,” the college was selected as a construction unit for Shanghai’s Distinctive Higher Vocational Colleges in 2012, and consecutively selected as a construction unit for Shanghai High-Level Higher Vocational Colleges and High-Level Vocational Program Clusters in 2021 and 2024. It is also a construction unit designated by the Ministry of Education for “vocational institution with a high level of internationalization” and for “benchmarking vocational institution in educational informatization”, a nationally recognized model for innovation and entrepreneurship education reform with distinctive features, a Shanghai cultivation school for educational informatization application benchmarking, and one of the first batch of Shanghai’s demonstration institutions for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. It has been consistently recognized as a “Civilized Unit,” “Safe and Civilized Campus,” “Green School,” and “Garden Unit” by Shanghai for many years. In the 2025 Shanghai Higher Education Classification Evaluation, it was rated as Tier A, placing it in the top tier, significantly enhancing its social influence.
Adhering to its educational philosophy of “Leading with Technology, Rooted in Engineering,” the college implements a development strategy centered on “building distinctive strengths, empowering talent, fostering open collaboration, and driving innovation.” Its academic programs are closely aligned with Shanghai’s socio-economic demands, strategically covering emerging industries, advanced manufacturing, public welfare sectors, and modern services, thereby forming a discipline structure dominated by engineering program clusters, with business and arts clusters as complementary pillars. The college offers 25 programs, including 4 Shanghai High-Level Program Clusters, 5 Shanghai Key Programs, and 4 Ministry-and-Provincial-Level Industry-Education Integrated Programs. It boasts 1 National-Level Elite Online Course, 27 Shanghai Elite (Online Open) Courses, 10 Shanghai Teaching Achievement Awards, and multiple municipal awards for educational research. Additionally, the institution has been recognized for its excellence with 1 “New Era Master Craftsmen Studio” designated by the Ministry of Education, 1 Shanghai Vocational Education Distinguished Faculty Studio, 2 Shanghai Skill Master Studios, 2 Shanghai “Oriental Talents”, and a cohort of renowned faculty members and innovative teaching teams.
Guided by the motto “Virtue, Erudition, Practicality, and Action.”, the college has, over more than 60 years, nurtured high-quality technical and skilled talents with global vision, humanistic spirit, practical competence, and the ability to tackle future challenges. Currently, it hosts a full-time student population of over 8,000. Graduates from the college have been highly sought-after by employers, with its graduate employment rate consistently exceeding 98% for consecutive years, a testament to its strong alignment with industry needs and educational quality.
In recent years, the college has dedicated itself to building a distinctive application-skills-oriented higher vocational institution, partnering with world-leading enterprises to advance “Industry-Education Integration and University-Enterprise Cooperation.” It has been selected for key national and international initiatives, including the Schneider Electric Green and Low-Carbon Industry-Education Integration Project (under China’s Ministry of Education), the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Program, and the Bosch Germany Pilot Program for Applied and Technical Skills Talent Development. The college has also established landmark projects such as the Tencent Cloud Artificial Intelligence Industry College, Baidu Apollo Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry College, Modern Service Industry College, German Priminer Numerical Control Technology Industry-Education Integration Practice Center, NIO New Energy Vehicle Industry-Education Integration Practice Center, CITIC Telecom Industry Innovation Center Industry-Education Integration Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Center, and the Shanghai International Auto City Industry-Education Consortium, among others.
Aligned with Shanghai’s “Five Centers” and “Four Brands” strategic goals, the college pioneers a modern apprenticeship system centered on its “Five Duals” talent cultivation model, striving to create a Shanghai model of modern apprenticeship with Chinese characteristics. Closely aligning with Shanghai’s strategic emerging industries and pioneer industry development system, SCST prioritizes the development of programs and program clusters in artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing technology, IoT, new energy vehicles, and 6th generation mobile communication technology, precisely aligning with the industrial layout development of key regional areas to form domestic leading advantages. Leveraging resource advantages of the construction unit designated by the Ministry of Education as “vocational institution with a high level of internationalization”, the college has expanded its global footprint through initiatives like the Belt and Road Technical Skills Training Center, the Maldivian “Chinese + Vocational Skills” Overseas Training Center, and the Kuala Lumpur Overseas Campus, creating a “golden brand” for vocational education going global. In 2022, it was awarded the “China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Promotion Award,” marking its accelerated transition into a fast track of high-quality development.
